So having less hair is the trend these days

Honestly I thought since it was summer, this is usually the time that women cut their hair. I mean who wants to walk around with a heavy wig/weave/braids when it's actually humid? *so far we here in the DC/MD/VA area haven't been having our usually stifling breathing steam summer, so that's a blessing in disguise* The lighter the hair the better, meaning roller sets, cornrows, flat twists, twist outs, etc. Anything that can give the scalp some breezy goodness.
Well it looks like some of the women in the "industry" have decided to come back to reality, and sheared their locks. We have already touched on Cassie, which honestly it looks good on her, but now we have Rih Rih and Solange! Rih Rih has been rocking the short cut for a good year and half, which I think is wonderful in the world of lace fronts, but she decided shoot lemme shave the side of head as well. The first picture I saw, she looked like she has a plumage of crows feathers on top of her head. In a more recent one, it actually doesn't look bad (maybe that was a poor angle for the paparazzi). Now....Solange...I honestly love it! Even though I would be heartbroken if she was doing that for attention, and so her lace fronts could adhere to her scalp better.

On a forum I frequent, a lot of us agree that she needed to clean up the cut a little bit, and fem herself up with some type of earrings (we all know there's that border line of looking like a little boy, and then a fierce female). Then there were the long hair is for women, and short hair is for men comments of course coming from "men." I say "men" because if hair is the only type of qualities that you see that says that is a pretty woman/girl right there with that flowing hair. A real man can take a woman with or without her hair, even if it's sitting on a chair in the dinning room (lol, yeah that's where I placed my wig). Okay so...there was a point to this, if you are a confident female, and know that your beauty is not your hair go ahead and shave it off. If you miss that much, buy some!

I was debating if I wanted to comment on the memorial from yesterday, but shoot why not? Am I the only one who officially cried a river when "Soon and Very Soon (We Are Going to See the King)" was sung and the casket came out? I swear my daughter didn't know what to do with me. So, she just decided to terrorize our living room. The eventually snapped me out of my funk, but then when John Mayer came on playing "Human Nature" dangit if that didn't cause me to break down again. When I heard of his death "Human Nature" was the only song that actually made me literally boo-hoo. How are you guys coping?
I'll leave you with John's performance...*passes kleenex*

I want this bad

I know there people who are raving about certain products, and honestly I will say that I have followed the advice/recommendations of other naturals out in cyber (hey ladies, thanks!). Shoot my new love is Suave Moist, and good thing Giant had it on sale for 2/$5 bonus size (score, only bought one though). I have read probably like one or two (maybe even three reviews) on Island Natural Conditioner by Aubrey Organics.

Coconut fatty acid cream base, organic aloe vera, wheat germ oil, almond protein; extracts of fennel, hops, balm mint, mistletoe, camomile and yarrow; organic coconut milk, jojoba butter, organic shea butter, horsetail extract, coltsfoot extract, Aubrey's preservative(citrus seed extract, vitamin A, C and E), vegetable glycerin, organic rosemary oil, pimenta leaf oil, allspice powder, organic sage oil, carrot oil.

Right now it's on sale (not sure if it's just online) at the Vitamin Shoppe, and since I do want to go there this weekend to go supplement shopping (feeling a little out wack these past few weeks) I was thinking of purchasing this. Has anyone out there ever tried it? If so please feel free to leave a review in the comments

So, I was just surfing trying to think of workouts that me and AJ can do together. And guess which one came to my mind...MOUSERCISE!!! *yay I'm such a geek* I remember waking up before Montessori (geek stamp right there, just a liberal geek), and working out to this. They need to bring this out on DVDs, so our kids (for those of us who have kids) can get active with us.

there are two other parts, but if you're an out shape Mommy like myself, these should be enough lol. your savings on! :-)
